What a morning! On Friday, 27 February, the VetComp team, along with members of the veteran community, laced up their runners to support Veterans Health Week. We gathered at our Toowong office and made our way together to TH7 West End for a fun run and walk. It was fantastic to see participants of all fitness levels moving side by side, embodying this year’s theme, Thrive 365, and starting with the pillar of Connect.
The energy was incredible as we arrived at TH7, where a 90-minute wellness session awaited. From the sauna and cold plunge to compression boots, it was the perfect reset after the morning’s activity. The real highlight, however, was the opportunity to keep connecting! Sharing stories, meeting new people, and linking veterans with local health and wellbeing services in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success. To our incredible partners who helped bring this event to life, your support ensured we could focus on what mattered most: getting active, having a laugh, and strengthening our community connections. Thank you to TH7 for hosting us so generously, No Pong Deodorant, True Protein, Amber Drop Honey and PURE Sports Nutrition for keeping us fuelled and fresh.
We were also proud to have this event supported by the Department of Veteran Affairs, highlighting the power of collaboration in supporting veteran wellbeing.

This fun run/walk supports Veterans’ Health Week, an annual initiative to promote positive health and wellbeing for veterans and their families.
This year’s theme is Thrive 365, celebrating wellbeing as multi-dimensional through four key pillars:
The theme Thrive 365 highlights that wellbeing isn’t limited to one week, it’s something to focus on every day of the year. This week, we encourage veterans to consider small, meaningful steps to support their wellbeing every day, starting with the pillar of ‘connect’.
