VetComp, DVA Claims Consult

So, how does this all work?

There's only 4 easy steps

Getting the compensation you deserve doesn’t need to be complicated. We’ve distilled the claims process into four straightforward steps.

Claim submission

Your claims are submitted within 48 hours of our FREE phone consultation.

We know every story is different, which is why we conduct a comprehensive assessment of your circumstances to uncover claims you may be eligible for. With our expert knowledge of the DVA system, we’ll submit your claim within 48 hours, ensuring every detail is carefully reviewed for the best chance of success.

Diagnostic evaluation

Conduct confidential medical assessment at no cost to you.

DVA carefully examines your service history, and if additional evidence is required, our team can connect you with veteran-focused healthcare providers. These assessments are completely confidential and at no cost to you. You have the flexibility to choose between telehealth or in-person consultations, ensuring both convenience and choice throughout the process.

Determination

Reaching the verdict on your claim.

After reviewing all the evidence, DVA will determine the outcome of your claim. If your claim is not approved, our dedicated team will challenge the decision and guide you through the appeals process, ensuring your case receives the attention and support it deserves.

Compensation

Get the compensation you deserve.

With our proven approach, you can be confident that VetComp is here to guide you every step of the way. Successful claims can provide access to vital medical treatment, life-changing financial compensation, and benefits for you and your family. Why should I lodge a claim?

It’s completely confidential

Your personal information is protected at every step, ensuring you remain in control of your story.

No win, no fee

If DVA doesn't offer you any compensation, you pay nothing — no hidden costs, no surprises.

Delaying your claim can cost you

Delaying your claim may reduce the compensation you're eligible for, as DVA takes age into account when determining your eligible amount.

Treatment covered by DVA

Successful claims grant you lifelong access to medical treatment for service-related conditions at no cost to you.

We take care of everything

From submitting your claims to connecting you with veteran-friendly healthcare providers, we handle everything. Your only responsibility is to attend your medical appointments.

Support your family

Successful claims enable the DVA to provide support for both you and your family, easing the burden on those who care for you.

No obligation. 100% confidential.

Don’t delay your claim, secure your future today

It’s easy to think you have plenty of time to make your claim, but many don’t realise that delaying it can lead to missed opportunities for support and entitlements. By acting quickly, you can avoid several potential roadblocks:

Loss of medical evidence

The longer you wait, the harder it is to gather medical and service records.

Lower compensation

DVA’s age conversion factors mean younger veterans receive higher payouts.

Financial strain

Don’t make it more difficult for yourself; access the support you need to live the way you deserve.

Medical treatment delay

Early claims lead to quicker access to treatment, helping you recover sooner and avoid further setbacks.

By submitting your claim today, you protect your rights, access your compensation, and access the care and financial support you need to secure a better future. Don’t wait any longer, take the first step towards the benefits you’ve earned.

We've been in your shoes

An experienced team of advocates and veteran experts committed to guiding you toward the support and compensation you truly deserve.

Eligibility & Claims Process

Can I submit a DVA claim if I am still serving?

Yes, you can submit a DVA claim while still serving in the Australian Defence Force. In fact, DVA encourages current ADF members to lodge claims as soon as possible for any injuries, illnesses, or conditions sustained during service.

Any current or former Australian Defence Force member who has sustained an injury or illness related to their service may be eligible. Our team assesses each case individually and assists you with your initial liability and permanent impairment claim.

Yes. Many service-related injuries and illnesses take time to emerge. Our team is experienced in identifying potential links between your current conditions and your ADF service, even if those conditions developed after your separation.

Timeframes can vary depending on the complexity of your claim and DVA’s processing times. To support a timely outcome, it’s important to provide thorough documentation and respond promptly to any requests from DVA. While timeframes are largely influenced by DVA, VetComp aims to have your claim finalised within 12 months. Our DVA advocates can manage this process on your behalf to assist with speedy correspondence with DVA and medical providers.

Compensation & Evidence

There is no guarantee that you will be eligible for any compensation from DVA. However, if you have a DVA-approved condition, DVA will take into account factors such as your age, the severity of your condition, your level of impairment, and how it impacts your daily life when calculating your compensation.

Medical reports, specialist assessments, and diagnostic tests are key to demonstrating the connection between your condition and your service. If you don’t already have this evidence, our team can help by connecting you with providers who are paid directly by DVA. So you won’t be out of pocket for any medical investigations related to your claim.

At VetComp, your privacy is our priority. We do not disclose any information about your DVA claims without your expressed consent. The DVA also operates under strict privacy legislation, and your personal information is protected under the DVA’s Privacy Policy. Any consultations with medical providers are governed by patient confidentiality laws, ensuring your medical details remain secure and private at all times.

This structure groups questions about who can claim and how the process works in the first category, and questions about what you might receive and what you need to provide in the second. Let me know if you’d prefer different categories or if you’d like to tweak any of the groupings.
